The Marblehead Police Department has acquired Deterra Drug Disposal Bags thanks to and through the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Seneca, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Wyandot County, they have been able to secure a large number of Deterra drug bags.  These bags allow individuals to place their unused prescription pills into the bag, put water in the bag, and a short time later, the entire bag can be thrown into their trash. We still will be keeping our drug disposal drop box located in our lobby as well.

If you need the Deterra Drug Deactivation System bag(s) please contact the Police Department at (419) 798-5881 or stop in our lobby to pick one up or place your unwanted, expired and no longer needed medication in the drop box. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call the number above. Remember in any event, do not dispose of unwanted medication in your sink or toilets.
